About me
Hi! Thank you for visiting my personal website!
I'm a Ph.D. from the AI group of School of Information and Communication Technology, University of Tasmania. Currently, I am a Data Engineer working at the Integrated Marine Observing System. My work primarily involves designing and developing Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence solutions to meet business needs.
My research focuses on utilizing AI techniques like Agent-based Modeling and Recommendation Systems to do Social Network Analysis and to identify and mitigate emerging patterns in social networks. These patterns arise from interactions among agents, which we refer to as "influence." Investing how individuals' behaviours influence others helps us to understand how information, trends, or opinions spread throughout networks.
My specific focus lies in tackling critical challenges related to the filter bubble and echo chamber effects in social networks. Imagine a social network as a bustling restaurant, offering a wide variety of information "diets" on its menu. However, within this digital restaurant, there lurk some "evil" waiters known as the filter bubble and echo chamber phenomena. These devious waiters, if not recognized, can guide you towards consuming a less balanced and diverse set of information. Being aware of these "evil" waiters is vital to avoid falling into the trap of consuming only biased or one-sided information ,fostering a more informed, open, and balanced understanding of the world around us.
